STUDENT THERAPIST 2025 - 2026: Liam
Hi, I’m Liam, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a doctoral student in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto, OISE.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, low, stuck, or like something just isn’t sitting right, therapy can offer a space to slow down and reconnect. You don’t have to figure everything out on your own. I aim to offer a steady, supportive relationship where whatever you’re carrying can be met with care and understanding.
My approach is rooted in person-centred therapy. I believe healing happens in relationship—when we feel seen, accepted, and supported in facing what’s difficult. I work in a way that’s warm, collaborative, and emotionally present. I take time to understand your experience and adapt our work to meet what’s most meaningful to you.
Since finishing my master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy in 2021, I’ve worked professionally in high schools and with adults in community-based settings, supporting people with depression, anxiety, burnout, identity exploration, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I also help people who feel disconnected from themselves or unsure about how to move forward.
I integrate Focusing-Oriented Therapy (FOT)—a gentle, body-based approach that helps us connect with what’s just beneath the surface. Often, feelings or insights haven’t yet found words but are still very present. FOT can help bring those forward in a way that feels grounded, respectful, and healing.
If any of this resonates with you, I’d be happy to connect. Warmly, Liam
