STUDENT THERAPIST 2024 - 2025: Benoit

Hi, I’m Benoit, a Master’s student in Counselling & Psychotherapy at the University of Toronto. My goal is to help individuals become the best version of themselves, by helping them find inner harmony, self-love, and the resilience to overcome the more challenging parts of life.

We have an amazing ability to grow, and the power to create a life that brings us health, wellness, and excitement. The problem is, our challenging moments can cover up this truth. You can feel lost, lonely, afraid, hopeless, and overwhelmed. It can be hard to see past your pain, and to move forward with self-confidence towards the life you want to lead. In our work together, my goal will be to help you navigate through all of that.

My approach involves, first and foremost, being receptive to your unique story and perspective. Working together, you will have the space to explore your challenges without feeling judged or dismissed, to find solutions that align most with you.

If you’re looking to work through challenging situations and experiences, or build healthier habits and relationships, my training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy can help you find the clarity and the direction that you’re looking for.

If you’d like to gain more control over your mood, or overcome emotions related to stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief, I offer a somatic-based approach called Focusing. This can help you better understand your emotions, and bring you closer to a life of peace, contentment, and emotional balance.
